Welcome to Homelock.io. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our platform located at https://www.homelock.io (“Site”), which provides impartial online tools for tracking private loan documents and payments. By using our Site, you agree to these Terms and the terms of our disclaimer.

Homelock.io is a Missouri-based service that provides a secure, third-party platform for lenders and borrowers to view, upload, and manage private loan documents and payment records. We do not act as a lender, servicer, or escrow agent.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Homelock.io. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Site, you must register and create an account. You agree to provide accurate and current information. We do not verify user identities beyond what lenders may do independently. Homelock.io reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts for violations of these Terms.

4. Roles and Access

The platform supports different roles including borrowers, lenders, and administrators. Your access and functionality depend on your role. Account deletion is not currently available to users.

5. Use of Services

Homelock.io serves only as a facilitator between parties and does not participate in, monitor, or verify the terms of any transaction, agreement, or payment. We do not guarantee any outcome or enforce any loan terms.

6. Payments and Fees

Fees may be charged from time to time for use of certain features. All payments are processed through third-party services (e.g., Authorize.net). Refunds are issued only at the request of the lender, and Homelock.io does not monitor or intervene in payment disputes.

7. Content and Data

Users may upload sensitive documents and data. By uploading content, you represent that you have the right to do so. You retain ownership of your content, but lenders may access it under your separate agreements. Homelock.io may suspend or restrict access if content violates these Terms or applicable law.

8. Third-Party Services

Homelock.io integrates with third-party platforms such as payment processors. We are not responsible for those services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms and policies.

9. No Warranties

Homelock.io is provided “as is” without any warranties or guarantees. We do not warrant the completeness, accuracy, or availability of the Site.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Homelock.io shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Homelock.io, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of your use of the Site, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.

12. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive any right to a class-action lawsuit or jury trial.
